1. Scope of Services & Conceptual Nature of Designs
Conceptual Design Only
All designs, renderings, plans, spatial layouts, specifications, or drawings provided by Grill By Design are strictly conceptual in nature. They are intended solely for visualization, design direction, and general space-planning purposes.
Not Architectural or Engineering Plans
Grill By Design is a design and consultation service. My designs are not architectural, engineering, structural, or construction plans. I do not provide licensed engineering, structural calculation, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) stamps, or architectural certification.
2. Requirement for Professional Engineering & Tradesperson Review
Permits and Engineering
All conceptual plans produced by Grill By Design must be submitted to, reviewed, engineered, and approved by a licensed engineer, architect, licensed tradesperson, or appropriate local authority prior to the procurement of materials, permitting, or commencement of construction.
Trade Compliance
It is the sole responsibility of the client or the client's hired contractors to ensure that all final construction plans meet local building codes, zoning bylaws, safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and utility requirements (including gas, electrical, water, and drainage).
3. Verification of On-Site Measurements & Conditions
On-Site Accuracy
All dimensions, measurements, clearance requirements, material specs, and site conditions indicated in Grill By Design's concepts must be independently field-verified on site by the client's builder, general contractor, and/or installer prior to fabrication, demolition, or installation.
Site Discrepancies
Grill By Design assumes no responsibility for variations between conceptual drawings and actual existing site conditions, terrain, structural integrity, or unexpected field obstacles.
4. Limitation of Liability for Construction & Installation
No Liability for Installation / Building Errors
Grill By Design is strictly a design and consultation firm and does not perform, supervise, manage, or direct physical construction or installation work. Grill By Design, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any mistakes, errors, omissions, delays, property damage, structural failures, or defects originating during the construction, build, or installation process.
Contractor Responsibility
The client's hired builders, installers, tradespeople, and contractors bear full and sole responsibility for verifying accuracy, execution, structural integrity, and safety during all stages of building and installation.
5. Client Approval and Acknowledgment
By hiring, engaging, or utilizing the design and consultation services of Grill By Design, the client acknowledges and agrees that:

Grill By Design's deliverables are conceptual design concepts only.

All plans will be thoroughly reviewed, verified, and engineered by appropriate licensed professionals before construction begins.

Builders and installers on site hold final accountability for measurement verification, code compliance, and correct physical execution.
